The Voice Inside You Is Not Who You Are

There is a voice inside your head.

It narrates,

judges,

warns,

compares,

plans,

regrets.

It speaks in your language.

It wears your memories.

It claims your name.

And so, you believe it must be you.

But what if I told you…

That voice is not who you are?

That voice is a ghost—

an echo of your conditioning—

not the Truth of your Being?

The Inner Narrator

It tells you what you should’ve said.

It tells you what might go wrong.

It tells you you’re not enough—

then tells you to hide that feeling.

It comments on everything:

your face, your worth, your past,

their behavior, God’s silence.

It never stops.

Even in meditation, it whispers.

Even in silence, it inserts thoughts.

It has lived with you so long

that you assume it must be your own.

But look closer.

You Are the One Who Hears the Voice

You are not the thought.

You are the space that knows the thought.

You are not the doubt.

You are the clarity that notices the doubt.

You are not even the “I” that says “I.”

You are the silent presence in which that “I” rises and falls.

The voice in your head is just noise.

It only lives because you give it attention.

Without your belief,

it has no power.

It’s like a cloud passing in the vast sky—

pretending to be the sky.

But the sky is untouched.

You are that sky.

The Trap of Identification

When you identify with the voice,

you live in defense.

You protect a false image.

You fear its collapse.

You resist anything that threatens it.

This is the ego’s dream.

It keeps you busy solving problems

that don’t actually exist.

Your worth is not a problem.

Your future is not a problem.

Your emotions are not problems.

Only the voice makes them so.

And once you realize the voice is not you,

you don’t have to fix it.

You just have to see it.

The Power of Witnessing

Try this:

The next time a thought arises—

“I’m failing,”

“This isn’t working,”

“They don’t see me,”

“I shouldn’t feel this way”—

Pause.

Instead of answering it,

notice it.

Instead of believing it,

be the one who sees it.

Don’t argue.

Don’t resist.

Just witness.

That moment of awareness

is a doorway to freedom.

Not by changing the thought—

but by remembering who you are.

You Are Not a Thought-Based Being

Thoughts arise and fall.

Emotions swell and pass.

Stories shift and fade.

But you remain.

You are the constant—

the unmoving center.

You are Presence,

before the voice appears,

after it fades,

and even while it speaks.

You’ve never been the content.

You’ve always been the container.

Even now—

can you feel the quiet awareness behind these words?

That’s You.

The End of the Voice’s Reign

You don’t need to kill the voice.

You only need to stop taking it so seriously.

It will talk.

Let it.

It’s not your enemy.

It’s not your guide.

It’s just noise—

and you are the silence that surrounds it.

When you no longer identify with it,

it loses its control.

And in that quiet…

you’ll find something deeper.

Something holy.

Something free.

Let the Silence Speak

The Voice says:

“You’re not ready.”

Silence says:

“You already are.”

The Voice says:

“This moment is not enough.”

Silence says:

“This is all there is.”

The Voice says:

“You must do more to be loved.”

Silence says:

“You are Love itself.”

Which will you believe?

🕊 A Sacred Reminder

The next time your mind begins to spin—

Pause.

Breathe.

Listen.

Not to the voice…

But to the space in which the voice moves.

You’ll begin to hear

the gentle hum of God

beneath the static.

And that’s the only voice worth listening to.
