A Moment That Broke Me Open

It wasn’t during a retreat.
It wasn’t while chanting mantras.
It wasn’t even during meditation.
It was in the most ordinary moment —
standing alone,
when suddenly the body froze,
and the entire sense of “me” collapsed.

Thrown Into Nothingness
In an instant,
everything I’d called “my life” —
my name, my history, my ambitions —
disappeared.
There was no thinker, no doer.
Just vast nothingness.
But it wasn’t empty.
It was alive.
The Terror and the Gift
At first, it was terrifying.
The ego screamed: “I’m dying!”
But something deeper saw it wasn’t death.
It was truth.
The death of illusion.
The birthless, deathless Self revealing itself.
Why I Share This
Not because I’m special.
Not because I want to create another story.
But because it shows awakening isn’t a theory.
It’s a living reality.
And it doesn’t belong to anyone.
For You
If you’re walking this path,
know that grace can strike in any moment.
You don’t have to climb a mountain.
You don’t have to perfect yourself.
You only have to be here —
open, ready, empty.
And life itself will do the rest.

One illusion is that awakening is far away. Let’s see how close it really is.
I share not to impress, but to invite. If you feel the call, let’s walk together.
