God Hides in the Very Thing You’re Avoiding

We pray to God.
We call out for freedom.
We ask for love, for truth, for peace.
And when life sends us
a silence too long,
a heartbreak too deep,
a confusion too thick—
we pull back.
Not this, we say.
Not like this.
Surely God is somewhere else.
In the temple.
In the meditation.
In the scriptures.
But what if I told you…
God hides in the very thing you’re avoiding?
That the darkness you fear to enter
is the womb of your rebirth?

The Seeker’s Filter
We come to the path with conditions.
We want awakening,
but not discomfort.
We want peace,
but not the death of ego.
We want God—
but only if He speaks in poetry and light,
not in heartbreak and stillness.
And so we reject
what doesn’t match the image.
We avoid the difficult relationship.
We resist the hollow feeling inside.
We bypass the confusion
with spiritual concepts and mantras.
But Grace is not here to decorate your comfort.
She is here to break open your prison.
And often, She arrives
in the costume of what you hate.
What You Run From Is the Doorway
That chronic anxiety?
It might be where the false “you” is collapsing.
That sense of stuckness?
It may be where seeking ends
and Being begins.
That person who triggers you?
They might be your mirror,
reflecting the unhealed lie you still believe.
We don’t grow by avoiding our edges.
We grow by leaning into them—
with love.
God doesn’t demand your perfection.
He wants your rawness.
Your honesty.
Your willingness to stay open
when it would be easier to run.
This is the real bhakti.
Not singing praises with closed eyes,
but loving what is—
especially when it hurts.
The Disguises of Grace
Grace is cunning.
She doesn’t always knock with a gentle hand.
Sometimes She tears.
Sometimes She floods.
You may think,
“This can’t be sacred.”
But look again.
Beneath the grief
is an invitation to let go of control.
Beneath the loneliness
is a calling to rest in your own being.
Beneath the loss
is a subtle whisper:
“You were never in charge.”
You prayed for Truth.
And She has arrived—
not as a feeling,
but as a fire.
The Collapse of Control
All suffering arises from this one movement:
the attempt to avoid what is.
The ego thrives on resistance.
It stays alive by fighting the moment.
But when you stop running,
stop fixing,
stop bargaining—
you notice something miraculous:
The very thing you were resisting
was never the problem.
It was your resistance
that made it unbearable.
When you meet your sadness
with soft eyes…
When you hold your fear
without a story…
When you breathe into the place
you were avoiding…
God reveals Himself.
Not as a flash.
Not as a voice.
But as a deep, wordless knowing:
“I Am already here.”

The End of the Escape
You don’t need more answers.
You need the courage to stop escaping.
You don’t need more techniques.
You need to fall into what’s already happening.
The next time something arises in you—
a restlessness, a grief, an ache—
pause.
Ask yourself:
What if this, too, is God?
What if this is the doorway?
And just for a moment…
don’t fix it.
Let it be.
Let it burn.
Let it break your ideas of how God should look.
Because every moment you allow
is Grace in motion.
Where the Holy Truly Dwells
God hides in the parts you deny.
In the feelings you numb.
In the stories you suppress.
Not to punish you.
But to show you something radical:
Nothing is outside the sacred.
Not your fear.
Not your confusion.
Not even your doubt.
All of it is fuel for the fire.
And when the fire has finished its work,
what remains is not a better version of you.
It is the absence of the one who was trying to escape.
And that absence…
is Presence.
**You Asked for God—
This Is How He Came**
Not with trumpets.
Not with clarity.
Not with perfection.
But with a mirror.
With a silence.
With a wound.
You asked for truth.
And He said:
“I am the one you’ve been avoiding.”
Let Him in.

Begin with One Step
You don’t have to figure it all out.
You only have to stay present
with this moment—
especially the parts that feel unworthy of Love.
Let the fire do its work.
Let your ideas of God be shattered.
And you will find…
He was never absent.
Only disguised.
