"I Am Consciousness" – A Journey from Seeker to Enlightened Master

What if your yearning to find God wasn’t a detour from your worldly life—but the very fire that would purify it?

What if the one asking “Who am I?” was destined to vanish… only for something eternal to remain?

Welcome to "I Am Consciousness"—a 6-book spiritual fiction series that follows the profound journey of David, a heart surgeon from New York, who leaves everything behind to meet a Guru in the Himalayas. What begins as a desperate search for God, unfolds into a complete annihilation of self—and the birth of awakened Consciousness.

This series is not just a story—it is a living transmission of Advaita Vedanta, the ancient wisdom of the Upanishads, delivered through a modern voice, accessible to the sincere seeker.

It is a roadmap through Shravanam (listening), Mananam (contemplation), and Niddhidhyasana (absorption)—the classic three-fold path to Self-realization.

The Story in Brief

David is a world-class heart surgeon living in Manhattan. Respected, successful, admired—but spiritually empty. His life changes when he reads about a Himalayan master named Swamiji, who, it is said, can show you God. Two years after writing to Swamiji’s ashram, he finally receives a letter inviting him to visit.

From the moment he lands in India, David is pulled into a current he cannot resist. He meets Yogiji, who begins teaching him the nature of Brahman on a long journey to the ashram. From there, a circle of fellow seekers join the path—Otto, a grieving German widower; Amelia and Oliver, a young Australian couple; and Uchit, David’s local guide-turned-seeker.

Together, they walk through fire—learning the teachings of Advaita, exploring the paths of karma, bhakti, and dhyana yoga, and most importantly, confronting their egos.

A Teaching Through Story

This series is a sacred paradox. It reads like fiction. But every word points beyond fiction, to something more real than anything you can see or touch.

Each book mirrors a stage on the seeker’s journey:

Book 1 introduces Brahman—the truth that is everywhere, in everything, and beyond all appearances.

Book 2 guides the mind through deep inquiry—“I am not the body, not the mind… then who am I?”

Book 3 brings integration—Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Dhyana Yoga—making the whole life sacred.

Book 4 brings the breaking point, where David's ego collapses through heartbreak and doubt.

Book 5 shows the aftermath of awakening: the silence, the joy, the disorientation, and the stabilizing.

Book 6 culminates in teaching—David becomes the Master. The disciple becomes the light.

From God-Seeking to God-Realization

The series begins with a man looking for God as an object.

It ends with that man disappearing—and what remains is Consciousness Itself.

David’s evolution is your invitation.

He begins where so many of us begin: confused, driven, spiritually thirsty.

But what makes this journey radical is not what is added—but what is removed:

False identities. Conditioned beliefs. Even the seeker.

Swamiji, the Master, is unlike any you've read before. He performs no rituals. He chants no mantras. He needs no temple.

Why?

Because “I can’t go anywhere where God is not,” he says.

“I couldn’t get rid of God if I wanted to.”

Why This Series Matters

This is not a feel-good spiritual book.

It’s a mirror—held up to your ego. A hammer for your deepest doubts. A light on your inner sky.

It teaches not just the philosophy of Advaita, but its lived application:

How to cook and clean with devotion.

How to walk through grief and longing.

How to sit with silence until it bursts into knowing.

Whether you’re new to Vedanta or deep on the path, this series will take you deeper—not with theory, but with fire and love.

Begin With Book 1: See God With Open Eyes

Every seeker has a moment where they say:

"There must be more than this..."

If you’ve ever felt that—See God With Open Eyes is where your journey begins.

And if you’re ready to not just read about awakening, but walk through it—David’s journey will be the reflection you need.

Let the pages be your satsang.

Let the story be your silence.

And let the series awaken what was never born and never dies.
