The Cosmic Joke – I’ve Let Go of the Ego… And I’m Very Proud of It 😂

I did it.

Finally.

After years of seeking, meditating, mantra chanting, shadow work, breathwork, journaling, fasting, and at least three kinds of spiritual bypassing…

I’ve let go of the ego.

And let me tell you — it feels amazing.

Not just because I’m free…

but because everyone needs to know.

I don’t say this to brag.

(But also, I kind of do.)

You see, it’s not easy to reach this level of selflessness.

It takes discipline. Humility. Consistent reminders to everyone else about how ego-free you are.

Step 1: Letting Go of the Ego

The first step is simple:

Declare that the ego is gone.

Announce it quietly in conversations. Casually drop it into podcasts. Whisper it under your breath when people disagree with you.

Say things like:

“Oh I used to get triggered… but that was before I let go of the ego.”

“I don't take things personally anymore — I see everything as the Self.”

“Yes, that’s just the ego, but luckily I don’t operate from that space.”

Soon, people will start noticing your peace.

They might even call you “awakened.”

You must act embarrassed — but accept.

With grace, of course.

Step 2: Ignore the Times the Ego Shows Up

Every now and then, the ego may try to make a surprise appearance:

  • When someone corrects you on a quote from Nisargadatta.

  • When your post doesn’t get enough likes.

  • When your cousin asks, “So what do you actually do all day?”

But don’t worry — just spiritually rationalize it.

“It’s just energy moving.”

“The ego arose, but it didn’t stick.”

“I was witnessing it — very deeply — from Awareness.”

And remember, if you're witnessing the ego, it means you're clearly not the ego.

…Right?

Step 3: Teach Others How to Let Go Too

Now that you’re ego-free, it’s your duty to guide others.

Use lots of phrases like:

  • “This is basic Advaita.”

  • “Ramana would never have said that.”

  • “It’s cute how you’re still identifying with thoughts.”

Correct people softly.

But make sure they know you’re operating from a place of pure emptiness.

Teach self-inquiry to people who didn’t ask.

Point at their ego — but gently, so it still feels nondual.

Remember, if someone reacts, it's their ego.

If you react, it’s your deep sensitivity to energy.

The Joke Begins to Crack

Okay… enough with the skit.

Because at some point,

you’ll notice the faint sound of laughter in the background.

The Cosmic Joke.

Softly echoing, gently shaking the entire illusion.

You’ll see that this “I” who claimed to drop the ego

was simply ego in spiritual costume.

That even the idea of “I let go of ego”

is ego’s last desperate prayer to survive.

And the only one proud of awakening…

is the one who never awakened.

What’s Really Happening Here

Here’s the real teaching under the parody:

The ego doesn’t need to be let go of.

It needs to be seen through.

You don’t “drop” it like a heavy suitcase.

You see that you were never carrying it in the first place.

The “I” that wants to drop ego

is the ego.

And when that’s seen clearly —

there’s just space.

Clarity.

Nothing grasping.

That’s true letting go:

Not by doing, but by seeing.

When It’s Really Gone, No One’s Left to Say So

The awakened don’t announce it.

They don’t feel special.

They don’t feel enlightened.

They may even feel like absolutely nothing.

And strangely — that nothingness is overflowing with love.

They might appear ordinary.

They won’t try to convince you.

They’ll meet you where you are.

They’re not ego-less.

They’re not anything at all.

That’s the deepest humility —

the kind that doesn’t know it’s humble.

😂 The Final Cosmic Punchline?

You never had an ego.

There was never a “you” to get rid of it.

Just an appearance of someone

trying to get somewhere

with a strategy that was always going to fail.

The path collapses.

The seeker dissolves.

The joke lands.

And laughter remains.
